In Stud Poker players receive only some of their cards at the beginning of the game. Players get the rest of the cards during the betting rounds. The example of Stud Poker is the game with the same name- Stud Poker. In Stud Poker each player receives one card face down and one card face up (5 card stud) or 2 cards down and 1 card up (7 card). The player to the dealer’s left begins. There is a betting round after the deal and then each player is dealt another card. There is another round of betting and all cards are dealt face up except the last card. The showdown occurs after the last card is dealt and the player with the highest hand is the winner.
