So how does the betting work? In most casinos players have to ante to get cards. There are three options available for the players after the deal of the cards. You can call. If you call you have to make a bet at least equal to the previous bet made by another rplayer. The Raise option means that you make the highest bet on the table. After you call the other amount it is basically up to you how much you want to bet. Let's take the example from above: somebody on the table raises a dollar, you have to call him with a dollar and then you can raise whatever you want. Some casinos limit the raising amount.
