Poker is a popular game throughout the world. Poker has some features of the card games, which were played long ago, but the modern version of the game is a purely American game. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. A person who has learned these principles can play without difficulty in any game. Poker is a game of betting and card combinations. Traditionally the strongest hand available is a combination of 5 highest-ranking cards, there are poker variations, in which the best hands are different. In High/Low poker the pot can be split by two players. The player who has the strongest hand and the player, who has the weakest hand are the winners. When all the bets are made by the players, they show down their cards. The player who has the strongest hand is the winner.
