Poker is a popular game throughout the world. On the one hand it is based on the card games, which were popular several centuries ago in Europe, on the other hand, the modern version of the game is an American game. Nowadays there are exist many poker variations, but there are not many differences between them. The principle of the game is the same for all poker variations. If you know the principles of the game well enough you can easily be a winner. Poker is a game of betting and card combinations. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In a High/Low Poker game, two players have the opportunity to win and split the pot. Both the player with the highest hand and the player with the lowest hand are winners. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. If you don’t want to meet the highest bet by some other player you can’t compete for the pot. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. Every player tries to win the jackpot. A player can win the pot in one of the two ways.
After all bets are in, all players that are still in show their hands. The winner is the player with the strongest hand. If one of the players make a bet, which is not met by other players, he wins the pot without showing his cards. Poker is played with a 52-card deck. The cards are dealt one at a time, clockwise motion (number of cards varies with game). Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5. How To Play Stud Poker Types.
