The origin of Poker is still discussed, as nobody can say for sure from what games it originates.
Poker can originate from some Chinese or Persian game. According to some books France is the birthplace of Poker. The first card games appeared in China, the card game with 25 cards and 5 suits appeared in Persia and it France gamblers played with decks, which had 4 suits, that we have now. So, there are still a lot of questions and disputes about the game of Poker. New Orleans was the first state, in which the game of Poker appeared, later, the game was played all over the country. New Poker variations such as Stud, Draw and Straight Pokers enjoyed wide popularity during the Wild West period of the US history.
