Stud Poker Winning Strategy

Poker is popular all over the world. It combines principles of card games known hundreds of years ago in Europe and probably long before that in the Orient, but in its present form it is distinctly of American origin. Nowadays there are exist many poker variations, but there are not many differences between them. The principle of the game is the same for all poker variations. You will find no problems if you know and understand the main principles of the game. Poker is a game of betting and card combinations. Traditionally the strongest hand available is a combination of 5 highest-ranking cards, there are poker variations, in which the best hands are different. In a High/Low Poker game, two players have the opportunity to win and split the pot. The player with the highest-ranking hand and the player with the lowest-ranking hand win. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. You can compete for the pot only if you agree to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. The object of the game is to win the pot. There are two ways of winning the pot.
When all the bets are made by the players, they show down their cards. The player with the best hand wins. If during betting, a player makes a bet that no other players are willing to meet, that player wins the pot without showing his/her cards. Poker is played with a 52-card deck. Only one card at a time is dealt. The cards are dealt in a clockwise direction. Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5. Classic Stud Poker Cards.
